Donkey socks
My husband loves donkeys, so I designed these as a Christmas present for him.
The leg of the sock has a Fairisle charted pattern for the donkey and then the remainder is knitted in a self striping green sock yarn with a contrast toe. It would work equally well (maybe better) with two different contrasting solid greens. Likewise with the donkey- a dark brown colour with grey muzzle is another option, as long as all yarn is 4ply.
These used approximately 70g of main green and less than 30g/ or a mini skein of the other colours.
