Donkey Tail Succulent
by Jana Whitley
Also known as burro tail, this succulent grows long, draping stems up to two feet long, making it a popular plant for hanging basket arrangements. Its plump little leaves grow in a spiral pattern down a long, thin stem, which makes it easy to duplicate in crochet. The only stitches needed for the plant parts are chain and slip stitch. If you’ve ever crocheted a corkscrew decoration, this pattern will be familiar to you: simply make a foundation chain, then as you crochet three “fingers” in each foundation chain stitch, the stitches will begin to form a spiral of leaves around the central chain.
Finished height: 4 inches
