Pattern Description: This Door Mouse pattern is great if you are learning to use different shapes to enhance your crochet skills.
Finished size: Height 2 inches, Width 3 inches.
Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sts =stitch(es)
Inc=increase (crochet twice in same stitch)
dec=decrease (crochet two stitches together)
sc=single crochet
hdc=half double crochet
sl st=slip stitch
f/o=fasten off
Materials Required: I used ‘Special’ by stylecraft-double knit yarn, 100% premium acrylic. (yards 163 /metres 149).
50g skein grey
Small amount of pink
Small amount of white
Small amount of black
Small amount of red
4mm/G hook
Stitch marker, Scissors, Yarn needle and Fibre fill.
Pattern notes:
• Door Mouse body and legs are all made in a continuous spiral, NO JOINING, you will place a stitch marker in the last st of each round.
• Ears and tail are made using rows, ch1, turn after each row.
• To change colour yarn, on last st of rnd insert your hook and pull through a loop, you should have 2 loops on your hook, instead of pulling through the yarn, add the next colour yarn you need to use pull through the loop to finish the st, secure both yarns at the back of the piece. f/o 1st colour.
• The numbers in the () at the end of each rnd/row indicate the amount of sts you should have.
• At the end of making each item weave in all your ends.
• The Door Mouse Eyes and Mouth are embroidered using your yarn needle.
