Doris the African Flower Piggy
This pattern is made up of African Flower Motifs. This piggy pattern was influenced by my friends’ mum (Doris) who passed away this year and I inherited her yarn which I’ve used for both patterns.
The pink piggy was made first, I just spent time trying to put the motifs together, there were many times I had to frog it! When I made the ‘Daisy’ piggy I had to change it as I realised there was a mistake on the back leg part (it wasn’t symmetrical). This meant that the pattern ended up being quite different towards the neck and head. I am pleased with the result of this pig.
The variegated Pink piggy was tested by my best friend Sam, we has fun going through it together, making sure everything made sense and was accurate.
I’ve published the whole pattern as well as it in 3 parts (for ease of downloading).
You can use any yarn, but a smaller hook is advisable so stuffing doesn’t show.
