Dormancy Wrap
Dormancy: being in a state of rest or inactivity.
How nice it would be to hibernate under this shawl as winter edges in around you? Even the construction suggests a closing in and pulling tight as the center panel brings the side pieces together and snugs down to a mere handful of stitches. Knit your version and wrap yourself in serenity.
Dormancy is soothing yet engaging to knit and lovely to wear. Its unique two-halved construction makes it a great small WIP to carry with you when you’re out and about. Once joined, the halves form a wrap that is generous and snuggly.
The simple texture stitches work nicely with solids, tonals, speckles, and even more variegated colorways. The pattern includes notes about where to modify length to accommodate different amounts of yarn.
The slightly more complicated lace stitch is both written and charted. The rest of the pattern is written.
