Dot Lace Cowl
Quick and easy cowl knit around in one piece. The seemingly random eyelets provide a loose and soft drape to this thick and thin fiber. Looks are deceiving; this is faux lace at it’s best.
Finished measurements: (one size, model is a size 14)
Neck circumference: 31”
Height: 14”
Materials:
Berroco Gusto Lapis 1963 , 2 skeins
US #15, 24: circ
1 stitch marker
Gauge:
About 2 sts/in and 3.5 rows/in over pattern stitch on #15:
Faux Lace Pattern stitch:
Round 1: Purl
Round 2: As they present on the left needle, purl the thick stitches, and yo, p2tog the thin stitches. Be sure to pair the yo, p2tog so that the stitch count doesn’t change unintentionally.
Note: the garment is reversible. Both sides are pleasing. . I wrote the pattern in reverse stockinette stitch because I find it easier to yo, p2tog rather than yo, k2tog. You can opt to work entire poncho in knit rather than purl if that’s your preference.
