This is a super simple pattern composed exclusively of chain stitches (in the foundation), slip stitches (used twice in joining situations in each of the circles), and tons and tons of half double crochet stitches.
I think it is a very beginner friendly pattern, and I have included two video tutorials (one addressing how I get such nice straight edges; the other on how to make the half double dot). My hope is that others will enjoy making their own Dotghans as much as I enjoyed making mine.
