This kerchief was designed with my sweet Grandmother, Dorothy, in mind. Using a fingering weight yarn this is the perfect lightweight accessory for when you just want a bit of something around your neck without all the bulk of a more traditional cowl or scarf.

Notes
The first half of this piece is worked in the round and then it is worked flat to give it the kerchief point in the front.

Supplies Needed
Yarn: Fingering weight yarn. Sample used approximately 64 grams/279 yards. Sample shown was done in Lay Family Yarn on the High Twist Base (437 yards/100 grams - 80%/20% Superwash Merino/Nylon Blend) in the Erin’s Rose colorway.
Needles: US 4/3.5 mm 16” circular knitting needles.
Notions: Stitch Marker.
Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends.
Gauge: 6.5 stitches/12 rows per 1” - Blocked. Gauge is not critical but be aware that a different gauge may use more yarn and change the fit of the finished piece.
Finished Measurements: Blocked – 21” Circumference, 10.75” long from the top to the longest point.
