These little polka dot fingerless mitts are knit in the round, bottom up, with fingering weight yarn, They have patterning only on the body of the mitt, with a plain knit thumb gusset.

A great stash-buster, the mitts come in three sizes and are interchangeable for each hand. The mitts are easily customized for length or width by adding or subtracting repeats of the polka dot motifs - note this might affect yarn quantities.

MATERIALS
Fingering weight yarn
MC - 40g (approx 220 yards / 200 metres)
CC - 20g (approx 100 yards / 90 metres)

Suggested yarn - Knitting for Olive Merino
(100% Merino, 50g, 273 yards, 250 metres)

Sample mitts in size medium weigh 30g, using 22g of MC (Dusty Olive Blue) and 8g of CC (Cream).

Needles and Notions 2.75mm (US2) and 3mm (US2.5) circular needles or DPNs for working small circumferences in the round. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain gauge.
Stitch markers, waste yarn, tapestry needle

Gauge 30 sts / 36 rnds = 4” (10cm) over stranded pattern in the round using 3mm needles.
