The Dotty Pine Cowl is knitted in the round using a two-colour stranded technique. Worked in natural shades of pure wool, in two sizes, and a corrugated rib edging. It has a subtle geometric design, and mixes practicality with warmth, adding a little touch of interest to any outfit.
The stitch pattern is inspired by an historic engraving of pine wood viewed under a microscope by the pioneering botanist Nehemiah Grew. In the late 1600s he was one of the first people to record and study the deceptively simple, rhythmic and organised beauty of plant cells. Dotty Pine is designed to reflect those qualities and I hope that you find it a relaxing and satisfying knit.
