Dotty Pine Cuffs are knitted in the round using a two-colour stranded technique and corrugated rib edging. Worked in natural shades of pure wool and in two sizes, with a subtle geometric design, they provide practicality, warmth and a add a little touch of interest to your outfit.
The stitch pattern is inspired by an historic engraving of pine wood viewed under a microscope by the pioneering botanist Nehemiah Grew. In the late 1600s he was one of the first people to record and study the deceptively simple, rhythmic and organised beauty of plant cells. Dotty Pine is designed to reflect those qualities and I hope that you find it a relaxing and satisfying knit.

Suggested Yarn
I used Jamieson and Smith Shetland Heritage Naturals which is a 100% wool light 4ply/fingering yarn. Any 4ply would work for this pattern but natural wool suits stranded knitting very well due to its fuzzy quality and tendency for the fibres to mesh into the fabric.
