double checked is a set of a hat, a pair of fingerless mitts and a cowl with an easy checkered pattern in stranded colorwork and double layered hems and cuffs for extra warmth.
One layer is checkered and the other layer is plain which makes it fully reversible.

It starts with a provisional cast on, the two layers are knit one after another, then grafted together using kitchener stitch.

Sizes
The cowl comes in two sizes : a short cowl that covers your neck and chin or a double sized cowl for a double loop.
short cowl circumference = 56 cm / 22” and long cowl circumference = 112 cm / 44”

US 4 - 3.5 mm circular needle or size to obtain gauge
spare circular needle in a smaller size
