Double checked is a set of a hat, a pair of fingerless mitts and a cowl with an easy checkered pattern in stranded colorwork and double layered hems and cuffs for extra warmth.
One layer is checkered and the other layer is plain which makes it fully reversible.

The hat starts with a provisional cast on, the two layers are knit one after another, then joined together with a 3 needle join. The hat is then continued in stockinette stitch.

Sizes
S/M/L : circumference: 52 / 56 / 60 cm (20½ / 22 / 23½ “) to fit head circumference: 50-56 / 53-60 / 57-64 cm (19¾-22 / 20¾-23½ / 22½-25 “) depending if you want a snug fitting or a loose fitting hat.

Finished height = ± 23 to 25 cm / 9 to 9¾” or as desired

main color (MC): 145 to 165 meters / 160 to 180 yards
contrasting color (CC): 30 to 50 meters / 35 to 55 yards

US 4 - 3.5 mm circular needle or size to obtain gauge
spare circular needle in a smaller size
