double checked mitts
double checked is a set of a hat, a pair of fingerless mitts and a cowl with an easy checkered pattern in stranded colorwork and double layered hems and cuffs for extra warmth.
One layer is checkered and the other layer is plain which makes it fully reversible.
The mitts start with a provisional cast on, the two layers are knit one after another, then joined together with a 3 needle join. The mitt is then continued in stockinette stitch with a thumb gusset and a smaller checkered pattern at the fingers.
