This is a double thick pot holder that is good for the table as a trivet or held in hand to hold something hot. I recommend you always use cotton yarn for it, so that it doesn’t melt if it get too hot. I made it using white yarn, but it can be made using any color. If you use a thinner yarn then the size 4 - worsted, you might want to use two strands of yarn. There is no gauge, just make you stitches tight so that there are little or no gaps.
