This pattern came from wanting a quick Christmas gift for my gaming friends. It wasn’t quick though. I looked around for something that was fast, and I didn’t really find anything. I kept finding dice patterns that didn’t look right, or were too big to be constructed quickly. So I came up with my own.

I had to troubleshoot about 6 graphed dice designs. I passed the samples around to my friends, letting them critique them.
Once I finally found one that was recognizable as a D20 dice, I got to work writing up the pattern.

The graph included can be used for various patterns. You want to make a scarf, scarflette or banner? You can easily modify the pattern as needed.

I wanted to use some of my Dollar Tree Premier Just Yarn. And I did. Two balls of this yarn can complete a whole repeat of the pattern. Every ball adds another sections.
For fringe or tassels, I would buy extra yarn or use what you have on hand.

You can use HDC or DC for the pattern.
Using DC will make the pattern longer, faster, and extended DC will make it even faster.
I do recommend using the graph area in HDC. It looks better in HDC than DC.

I recommend using BLO for the scarf as well. It makes it easier to hide the carried yarn in the graphed areas.

You can use any method you choose for the colorwork. I prefer to carry the yarn along in the stitches, switching out colors as needed.
