I made this for a friend with an elegant sense of style and to match his living room. Elegance required that it be reversible so that it could be tossed without thought to how it would land.

The throw is doubly delightful in the following way:

Double sided – Fully reversible, throw it or use it without care for which side is up

Double rib – 2x2 rib with staggered right twists (RT’s) for sophistication.

Double Repeats – Two sets of pattern rows for each color band and two sets of color bands

Double’d yarns – Knit with two strands to make an attractive and warm blanket. A worsted weight that is carried all the way through and lace or light weight to form the color bands.

Double’y easy – For knitters all levels and fast: simple rib on larger needles.

Double’y flexible – Make in any color combos or none at all.

Double’y warm – Compact the rib for the heaviest blanket, stretch the rib for a lighter blanket.

Throw Size: Approximately 60” wide by 72” long. Size may vary based on yarns selected and personal gauge.

The pattern can be knit with one strand of heavy worsted/aran or bulky.
