What’s in a name? The Double Double Beanie (named for the classic Canadian coffee - 2 creams, 2 sugars, please!) is knit DOUBLE stranded with two colours of fingering weight yarn, and has a DOUBLE brim hem, for extra coziness - hence, Double Double! Get it?

DETAILS:

Skill Level: Easy

Skills required: Knitting in the round, decreasing.

Requires: approximately 100 - 150 g (1 or 2 skeins) of Fingering Weight Yarn. Pattern is written for two strands of fingering weight yarn held together, and used approximately 50g of each colour.

Sample uses: Autumn and Indigo, Sock in Velvet Blush and The Wool Barn, Smooth Sock in Smitten

Like any of my patterns, you can use any fingering/sock weight yarn that fits your style and budget! Need help finding a suitable yarn? Check out my Tips and Tricks for yarn substitution! This project is really great for stash busting/using up partial skeins of sock yarn.

This pattern contains two sizes. Finished hats will fit most teen - adult heads. Small adjustments to increase or decrease the size of your hat can easily be made. Please message me if I can help with your modifications. Modifying the length of the hat is easy, and instructions are given in the pdf.
