DESCRIPTION
A headband that doubles in warmth? Yes please. The Double Double Headband is a sister pattern to my besties Double Double Beanie (Nicole from Woolfield Studio). Grafted together with Kitchener stitch to create a seamless look and feel, this headband is extra thick due to the fabric being folded and layered on top of itself., creating an extra warm and snuggly layer – while battling out those winter winds.
Knit completely in the round and using a provisional cast on with a crochet hook.
This pattern is totally seamless and is written in 3 sizes. S, M and L. You’ll want to measure your head circumference around where you want the brim to sit. S fits a 20-21.5” / 51-55cm head. M fits a 22-23.5” / 56-60 cm head. Large fits a 24-25.5” / 61-65 cm head. Note: I used 47/50 grams for the small, so if you make that size, you’ll want to reuse the yarn from your gauge swatch.
Knit in the round with US 9/5.5 mm circular needles.
