Double Double Trellis Shawl
Based on the concept of Elizabeth Zimmermann’s “Pi Shawl,” as I learned it from the book Knitting Without Tears. In this case, because the pattern stitches used change the row gauge, you double the number of stitches whenever the newest section is as long as all the previous sections, rather than counting the rows.
