This makes a great first project for a new knitter. It uses a simple garter stitch, but adds in a row of dropped yarn-over’s every 6 rows to create an elongated stitch.

All you need to know how to do is cast on, knit, wrap the yarn around the needle, drop the wrapped yarn and cast off.
