I created this cowl with eyelets and buttons so that it can be buttoned up either end to end or on the sides, and worn many different ways.

I used only 1 ball of Super Saver stripes in Polo Stripe, and I had yarn left over.

You also need 6 large buttons big enough to fit through the eyelets without coming undone. I took my cowl to the store so I could fit the buttons through the eyelet holes until I found a size that worked, I ended up using 7/8” (22mm) buttons.

Any worsted weight or chunky yarn would work with this pattern.

This pattern is easily adjustable, if you want a shorter or longer cowl, just knit less or more repeats until you have the desired length.
