This is a cable which winds in an out in the center portion and looks like a double-helix. The cozy is designed for a tall French press - example used is 31cmx15cm or 12.25”x6”. It can be made wider or thinner, but the pattern has a specific stitch count for height. You can try make the pattern with a lighter weight yarn and thinner needles for a shorter-sized press.

The cable of this pattern can also be used to make a scarf. I’ve included information on length + quantity of yarn needed, but you will have to pick your own yarn if you want something other than cotton.

Gauge is not super important; measure often instead.
Takes 2 balls of 50-60g cotton for French Cozy, takes up to 7 balls if longest-length scarf.

Pattern is only written - no chart. Requires being able to identify a purl and knit stitch on the needle visually.

This is a new pattern so please let me know of any errors and updates will be posted if corrections are made.
