The Double Indemnity scarf gives just that--a double payoff because it’s got two layers: a soft stockinette stitch layer and an eyelet pattern layer that captures the warmth and bathes your neck in it, especially on cold, windy days.

Based on the 1944 movie of the same name, with Barbara Stanwyck, Fred MacMurray, and Edward G. Robinson, my Double Indemnity scarf is straightforward and it pays out in double the warmth and comfort. It is knit in the round: the first layer is knit in stockinette stitch, you create a crease in the fabric, and then continue in a contrasting color with a pretty, easy to remember eyelet pattern to create the pockets of warmth and burst of color. There are no seams or edgings to sew, either.

This scarf hugs your neck!
