This hat is knit in a round using a size 12” circular needle. An understanding on Double Knitting is helpful in knitting this pattern. Double Knitting is cast on in 2 colors and is knit in pairs with a knit stitch and a purl stitch in each pair. You will need two colors of yarn, preferably ones with a contrasting color, one light and one dark. The hat is totally reversible! You can wear it either way. The pattern knit on the front side is duplicated on the back side in the opposite color! Very fun!!
