This double knit hat pattern creates a thick and plush warm hat for a large size head (finished size is 20 inches in diameter X 6.25 inches tall). The stitch pattern is Charted, only. The stitch pattern is naturally jogless--Nothing is required to have a smooth transition, and seamless appearance.
Note: 4th image is the beginning of round --and it is slightly evident at cast on edge, but not anywhere else.

The hat is a pillbox style, with straight sides, and a flat top. It starts with a tubular cast on, (this is optional), at the brim, and end with drawstring bind off.

The bulky yarn makes it a quick knit, but the stitch pattern adds a bit of challenge-- Basic skills needed are Knit, purl, interlocking double knitting, chart reading, and decreasing in double knitting.

This pattern is not a beginners pattern, some experience with stranded color work or with basic double knitting will make this pattern easier to knit.
