This hat is actually two hats in one. You provisionally cast on, knit one hat, pick up your live stitches and knit a second hat.

To wear it, tuck one hat inside the other and you have a super warm hat that can be worn with either side showing.

The pattern includes instructions for three versions: All one color, striped or one color on each side.

Two lengths: beanie or slouchy. The slouchy version is long enough to fold up the brim and have 4 layers on your ears. Or keep it slouchy.

It also includes instructions for a plain brim or ribbed brim.
