Double Layer Hat No. 2
About This Pattern:
This double sided hat pattern is knit from the center out. Stitches are provisionally cast on around the brim and worked up to the top of one side of the hat. Then the live cast on stitches are picked up and the other side is worked identically to the first. One side folds inside the other to be worn. There are three brim size options: no folded brim, small folded brim, or large folded brim.
Yarn: 245 (280, 315, 360, 420, 465) yards total of fingering or sport weight yarn
We used a combination of marled yarns (all the same weight) in a random striping pattern to make our hat. You could also use self-striping or gradient yarn for making each side have a different color or pattern. This hat would also look great in a solid color!
