Crochet terminology

I made this over 3 evenings at Christmas and it was so quick and simple to make. The pattern uses 4 x 50g of Perla, but can be adjusted according to taste. The scalloped edges are achieved almost by mistake and there is no tricky stitches at all, yet the pattern is very effective.
