Sadly, I’ve had many people reach out to me lately with stories of loved ones in the hospital. The questions I’m asked over and over again, “Can two people fit in one of your mermaids?”, “Can I cuddle with my daughter in an adult sized mermaid?”

Yes, you can, but it would be a tight fit. Then, it occurred to me that a double mermaid would be a great idea. Two people can happily snuggle in mermaid goodness, all while keeping their feet covered. There’s nothing worse than having the blanket pulled off of your feet!

Enter, double mermaid. I’ve written, tested, and had the pattern tested over the last 5 or 6 weeks. Pattern counts/sizes/measurements vary from the original single mermaid. Included in the pattern are double child size, double adult size, and the Love You Forever Parent & Child size.

I’ve included some pictures to help along the way, along with a new fin picture to assist in the top gathering.
