Double puff jumper or sweater
This jumper/sweater is designed to be easy to adapt as you go along to make it a good fit. It is made almost in one piece, starting at the top and working down. Only the neck trim is made separately, so there is very little sewing needed. You can make a simpler neck if you wish - just do double crochets around the neckline to finish it off. It is a good idea to keep trying this jumper on as you make it. If you need to add or subtract some stitches to make it fit you, or whoever you are making it for, then this can be done before it is too late. If you get to the armholes and it seems a bit too small, there is the chance to add extra rows.
The jumper/sweater can be as long or as short as you wish and the same with the sleeves. Just stop at any point and add the edging. If you are worried about running out of the yarn you have, stop making the body of the jumper/sweater before you are finished and add the arms, then you can continue with the body, knowing that whatever yarn you have left can be used up.
There is also a child’s version of this jumper or sweater that is free when purchasing this one. See Promotion below.
There are detailed instructions of how to make the garment, with some photographs to help demonstrate when necessary.
The pattern includes both UK and US terms. The UK terms come first and then the whole pattern is repeated with US terms, so please be aware if you print off the pattern that you should only print the pages you want so as not to waste your paper and ink.
