This pattern is for people who want to make ribbed beanies but cannot knit at all.

I promise it’s not as hard as it looks; the only stitches used are double crochet, front post double crochet and back post double crochet, so if you can do those, you’ll be fine.

When finished, this beanie fits the average adult head, measuring about 8 inches from crown to rim and 21 inches around the bottom. It stretches fairly well, but I would suggest making the hat a little larger than you think you need.

If you change the size, do note that each stitch in the 1st row will turn into 8 once the increases are complete. One or two additional stitches are probably all you need.
