Double Rose Leaf Pattern

Pattern requires three stitches for each ‘close’ stripe, and seventeen stitches for each ‘open’ stripe.

Rhoades suggests this yarn (suitable for a scarf):
Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend
Needles, size 7 (4.5 mm)
(1) hank (150 yds, 137.2 m) DK weight yarn makes a sample about 12 inches (30.5 cm) wide and 18 inches (45.7 cm) long, after blocking.
Can be knit in fine cotton yarn on very small needles for a lace pillowcase edging.
