I love Fair Isle, and wanted to incorporate it into a shawl, but what to do about the ugly wrong side? Solution: double sided Fair Isle. It’s a bit tricky at first, but if you are the type of knitter who loves projects full of interesting little details and are not afraid of a challenge then this is for you!
The shawl also incorporates a reversible cable edging along the top edge and a very very frilly border of course!

Finished shawl (after blocking) measures 133 cm (52 inches) at top edge.

1 x 50 g Harris 4 ply shade 25 (colour a)
2 x 50 g Harris 4 ply shade 7 (b)
1 x 50 g ball each of shade 27 (c), 5 (d), 36 (e) and 10 (f)
Note: Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift (25 g balls) may be substituted for Harris tweed. 3 balls required for colour a and 6 balls required for colour b, 1 ball for all remaining colours
