No prizes for guessing how this beanie gets its name. The hourglass cables look like slalom lines in the snow, right? And on a snowy day you’ll appreciate this super quick, super bulky knit and all the coziness it provides! This one-size-fits-most beanie with a simple repeat and easy adaptibility might just become a gift-giving favorite for all the right reasons--easy to memorize and quick to make, it’s a perfect winter knit for the whole family!

Moderate-level pattern is written in US terms (English).
Pattern is for a one-size-fits-most unisex beanie with single brim that can be adjusted for other sizes by working more/less repeats to increase/decrease width and length as needed.
Pattern is knit in the round from the bottom up with a 7-stitch repeat over 4 rounds.
Tables, chart and videos are included for quick reference in an easy-to-follow format.
Directions are for super-bulky weight with size US 11/13 (8/9 mm) needles.
Suggestions for adapting for other weights included.
Recommend Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick or Mandala Thick & Quick. Many other brands will work, but be sure to check recommended needle size and confirm gauge with a test swatch before beginning.

Please note, there are no instructions included to make a faux fur pompom. This pattern is for the beanie only.
