YARN, GAUGE AND MACHINE:
Lion Fun furGets a gauge of about 3 stitches/4.5
rows per inch on the bulky machine using stitch size 10. Gauge is hard to pin down because the fabric moves to and fro in response to gravity and other pressures. Bonds use key-plate 4. Midgauge machines can use the same pattern by using every other needle. Standard machines use every 3rd needle. The scarf may not be identical but will be close enough. Everyone use weights and the largest stitch size. Fabric will roll at the edges in the manner common to stockinette until it is brushed. After that, there is hardly any roll.

Originally this was designed for a coned yarn very similar to fun fur. That yarn is no longer available.
