This is a cabled ear warmer with an unusual combination of textures that is soft and warm. The cable features one “strand” of traditional stockinette entwined with another “strand” of seed stitch. It’s a great first cable project.

Instructions are in three forms: written, additional information in a table form that helps me as a developing knitter learn to read the pattern as I am knitting, and a full chart.

For more advanced knitters, it is also a quick project to learn to graft in pattern for a seamless join and includes detailed written instructions and a chart summarizing how to graft in pattern.
