The Double Thick Crochet Hot Pad Pattern uses the paired extended single crochet stitch, which is a mix between the paired single crochet and the extended single crochet.

This hot pad is made by stitching up 2 squares that are then joined together to create a double thick layer of protection to help handle those hot kitchen pans.

The pattern uses 140 yards of a 100% cotton medium-weight yarn and requires a 5.00 mm hook and a 4.5 mm hook.
