Double Thick Socks
A pair of cozy house socks that show off the Liberty Wool Print color variation with an allover double thick stitch. On even rounds, every other stitch is slipped. Slipped stitches resemble a 1 x 1 rib on the outside, while the other stitches (which are worked in circular garter stitch) resemble purl stitches on the inside. The result is a double thick, washable and cozy pair of socks! Written for 7 (8, 9)“ foot and ankle circumference with a 4” cuff (slightly stretched).

Gauge note: In Double Knit Stitch pattern half of the sts are only worked once every other row, which makes a very thick fabric. When measuring gauge, the RS of fabric (that looks like St st or ribbing) will measure 20 stitches and 24 rows = 4”. Take time to save time, check your gauge.
