CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The mittens are worked from the calf up in rounds. The Indian thumb gusset is knitted for the thumb. The pattern incorporates short rows to even the pattern with the stockinette stitch knitting on the palm. The inner mitten knitting starts with picking the edge stitches of the outer mitten and is worked in all stockinette stitch. The inner mitten is slightly smaller than the outer one to fit nicely.
