Double Web Hat
Different colours of unspun or spun and unspun yarn can be used in making the Double Web hat. The design provides an exciting and fun-making process and ensures a warm, well-defined knitted fabric that protects your ears and looks good.
Enjoy combining and playing with yarn, colour possibilities and variations to create your unique Double Web hat.
The design is in three sizes.
Yarn:
Option 1 - Nutiden only (sample 1 & 2)
Colour A, only on the outer side, 20 (25, 30) grams
Colour B, inner & outer side, 35 (40, 45) grams
Option 2 - Nutiden & Isager Tweed (sample 3, 4 & 5)
Colour A, only on the outer side, Nutiden 20 (25, 30) grams
Colour B, inner & outer side, Isager Tweed 50 grams
Gauge:
26 stitches & 45 rnds = 10x10 cm (4x4 “) in stockinette pattern with 2.5 mm (US 1.5) needle(s), after blocking.
23 stitches & 54 rnds = 10x10 cm (4x4 “) in colorful sequence pattern with 2.5 mm (US 1.5) needle(s), after blocking.
Needles:
Suggested Size: 2.5 mm (US 1.5), or needle size required to meet gauge.
Dimensions:
The accessory is graded into sizes 1 (2, 3).
The recommended ease for the Double Web hat is 10% (negative).

3 - The Isager Tweed Walnut & Nutiden Väsen (natural white with a hint of pink) shown in Size 1.
4 - The Isager Tweed Moss & Nutiden Vägen Hem (beige with grey undertones) shown in Size 2.
5 - The Isager Tweed Paprika & Nutiden Vaka (deep purple) shown in Size 3.
Tools:
Stitch markers, scrap yarn, crochet hook, tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
Substitute for Nutiden:
Plötulopi unspun wool - Icelandic wool by Ístex. One Icelandic Plötulopi plate is approx. 100 g (3.5 oz) approx. 300 m (328 yds).
Substitute for Isager Tweed:
Any 4-ply fingering wool, marching the required gauge.
2-ply Jumper weight Shetland wool is perfect because 2-ply refers to the plys in the yarn; this wool is a 4ply Woollen Spun thickness.
