This is a written pattern for a windspinner.
This windspinner is similar to my other tapered windspinner, but it’s a bit smaller and doubled.

For this windspinner I used acrylic yarn (Stylecraft Special dk or Scheepjes colourcrafter) which is 295 m/322 yards per 100 gram, and hooksize 3.5 .
I needed about 50 meters/54 yards of yarn in total.
My spinner was about 20 cm/7.9 inches long.
You can use other yarn if you like. The spinner can be bigger or smaller in that case.

Other materials you need:
-A small weight to hang under the windspinner.
This can be a small crocheted item or some beads, for example.
-A thread for hanging the windspinner.
You can use nylon thread or a single string of the yarn you used for the windspinner itself.

The level is advanced beginner.

Stiches and (US-)terms used in this pattern:

  • foundation chain
  • slst = slipstitch
  • sc = single crochet
  • hdc = half double crochet
  • dc = double crochet
  • trc = treble crochet
  • crabstitch
  • incr = increase = make 2 stitches in 1 stitch
  • blo = backloop only

! Note that the items hanging under the windspinners shown are not part of this pattern.

I hope you like my windspinners!
