Join in our 1st CAL of 2021: Doves of Joy!

Doves of Joy Set is a Hat with matching Mittens featuring Dove and Heart motifs using extended single crochet color change/intarsia. Extended sc stitches are slightly taller than sc and they stack neatly, making a lovely finished picture without the usual jagged edges. The lovely slip stitch ribbed edging resembles knit ribbing in both look and great stretch-ability!

The pattern is available in 2 sizes:
SM-MED Adult (Hat circumference 20-21”; Mitten circ. 7”)
LG-XL Adult (Hat circumference 22-23”; Mitten circ. 8”)

The instructions are written, but you need to follow a chart for the Dove and Heart motifs. Clear charts and close ups included for ease of reading. This pattern is an Intermediate level, but I provide support for your questions and help through our Ravelry group!

You will need 2 yarn colors (MC is for the background which can be solid or self-striping and CC/White is for the Doves/Hearts).

SM-Med Set needs: F and H hooks and #3 DK weight yarns (with approx. 78 yards/oz): 220 yards MC and 120 yards CC for the Set. Models shown in Premier Wool Select - a new DK yarn.

LG-XL Set needs: G and I hooks and #4 Worsted weight yarns (with approx. 62 yards per ounce): 120 yards MC and 70 yards CC for the Hat, and 135 yards MC and 70 yards CC for the Mittens. Models shown in Lion Brand Ferris Wheel with Red Heart Hygge Charm in Sparkly White.
