Dovetail Blooms is an overlay mosaic crochet pattern that is worked center-out. The final layout was inspired by tester Kris Price who truly went above and beyond in her testing!!

Included in the pattern are photo and video tutorials on overlay mosaic crochet and the center-out technique. Also included are yardage and standard sizes for 4-weight, 3-weight, and 2-weight yarn. You will receive the original pattern PDF, printer-friendly PDF, a single page graph, and a guide to overlay mosaic crochet.

I used Hobbii Twister in color 41 (1,205 yds), Hobbii Twister Solid in color 116 (500yds), and Hobbii Friends Wheel in color 02 (1,315 yds).

This is an intermediate level pattern and includes a beginner’s guide on overlay mosaic crochet as well as a video tutorial on both the overlay mosaic crochet technique and the center-out technique.

The PDF pattern is written in U.S. terminology and includes the full written pattern in a row-by-row format, as well as the ticked graphs. The written format is in a new, easier to read format! Also included is a printer-friendly PDF that allows you to print only the necessities for the pattern.

Please note that different yarns, different tensions, and different hook sizes will all utilize a different amount of yarn. All yarn totals are included in the pattern. There are also estimations of yardage needed for varying sizes of blankets.

Each Square Dimensions
2-weight yarn: 12” x 12”
3-weight yarn: 18.5” x 18.5”
4-weight yarn: 23.7” x 23.7”
Each square is 83 x 83 stitches.
