A pattern for a crocheted cloche style hat with a down-turned brim.

This design is a variation on the ever popular cloche – a close fitting little hat with a down turned brim. Embellished with primroses, this wear-everywhere hat is sized for an average adult woman’s head and is beautifully shaped for style, comfort and fit.

This is a pattern refresh. The original cloche was crocheted in a yarn that is no longer available. You will see the original at the end of the photo array.

Size: Adult woman - one size fits most.
Skill level: Intermediate.
Materials: “Simply Soft Tweeds” (a worsted weight or size 4 yarn) from Caron.
Tools: Boye crochet hook, U.S. size I.
