One rainy day at a city intersection, three people under wet umbrellas were waiting to cross. One umbrella was silver, one was deep charcoal, and one was bright luminous green. This colour combination stuck with me and by the time i got home, I had sketched up my Downpour wrap! Of course i had to use the same three colours which caught my eye on that grey wet day… but you can use any colours that you choose.

Designed for 3 x 100g skeins of 4ply fingering-weight, and using 3.5mm needles, this modular-construction wrap has only 12 ends to sew in, and no seaming! But - I also have included directions to make a seamed version if you don’t enjoy the join-as-you-go technique which is used here. Make it your way :)

Step by step full written instructions, a chart for the textured section, and photo tutorial for the modular joining, are all included.

Sample is knit with Madelinetosh Merino Light (silver fox, charcoal) and Dream In Color Jilly (tart).
Yarn used - approx 360 yards per colour (have spare in case your usage differs)
Wingspan - 120cm (slightly stretched)
Depth - 50cm along each rib from centre to edge
