Gauge shown is just a guide. The felting process of course will alter these figures.

You will need (but not use all of it) 100g ball of each colour if purchasing new.

If using yarn from your “stash” approx. 60g needed of the brim colour and approx. 75g of the main hat colour.

If the finished hat is not the right size, adjust the number of needles used, or adjust the tension by one or two dots up or down. You may also adjust the felting time. As the felting process varies with time, water temperature, colour of yarn used, etc., you may need to make one or two of these hats before you reach the desired size. Make notes as you go along of the numbers you use (needles, tension, etc.)
