This pattern is a fabulous stash buster.

The Downton Abbey Shoulder Cape is reminiscent of the post-Edwardian era and is a great fashion accessory as well as a practical garment. It is strategically sized to provide warmth where needed the most without adding extra length and bulk. The Downton Abbey Cape can be worn over a shirt / sweater or under your coat. Knit it in a variety of fibers such as a cotton blend for summer or a wool blend for winter.

The pattern provides two options. The red cowl is knitted in the round without seams. The beige cowl is knitted flat and has 3 buttons, one of which is hidden on the inside. The collar edges are interchangeable so there are many options.
