Dr Seuss Capelet
This pattern requires you to hold together two yarns at the same time to get the appropriate gauge. Smooth rows are two of the super saver and furry rows are one smooth with one furry yarn.
The furry yarn I selected, Fur Sure, has been discontinued, but Red Heart has come out with another called Fur, that is pretty much the same stuff--only thicker. To use this yarn you only need one strand of it and you can carry the smooth yarn--but you may need more skeins (not tested). I used about 75 yards of the Fur sure.
To use less yarn you can take one skein (rather than two) and use the interior pull with the exterior--though I find it is hard to not run into trouble. If you have winder, wind two balls from the single skein--stopping about halfway.
It can be made with any two Aran weight yarns, but it looks best if one of them has some “fuzz” to it.
Enjoy!
