This pattern produces at crooked red and white striped ‘cat in the hat’ type hat. It is constructed with a smaller hat inside connected to the tall hat so that it fits on head properly without coming down over eyes. I used a piece of plastic from back of a notebook for interior brim support and a bit of felt on the inside, underneath the top of the hat, to make it stand up.
